Vitamin K2 works hand-in-hand with Vitamin D3. If you take D3, chances are you need to take K2 with it. Vitamin K2 helps the break down and distribute Vitamin D3 to where your body needs it most. Taking high amounts of Vitamin D3 without enough Vitamin K2 in your body can cause excess calcium to build up, which can lead to inflammation and arthritis. If you’re considering adding K2 to your regime, the recommended dosage is 50 mcg Vitamin K2 per 5,000 IU Vitamin D3.
